Stu, that sounds very intriguing. I've no doubt that folk like you and JimGore and Timber_MG are very able to take pro audio parts, measure, think and make something wonderful. Same with big horn systems like JDZA's I would imagine. Usually all pro drivers in there. I also have no doubt that your results have very little in common with the carpeted chipboard box + 2 x 15" + piezo tweeter that is the bread and butter of a pro-audio supplier and which is the type of thing RPM-Machine seems to be considering. JBL make some fantastic compression drivers etc, but they also make some overpriced rubbish, like the EON. All of it for the pro market, but much of it requiring liberal substance abuse to become musical. I'm not sure what you made Stu, but I'm guessing you haven't seen the exact same product plonked down on/next to a stage very often, if at all. ie you probably made a high fidelity product, not a run of the mill pro audio product. If on the other hand, your sense of humour is so wicked that you have faithfully copied Behringer floor monitors and sold it to someone for R100k, then good on you sir! They must have had it coming :-\ (Not that I think you're the type of guy who would do that.) @RPM-Machine, it comes down to labels. "Pro-audio","New and Improved","Heritage","Great Guy" etc are all meaningless. The devil is always in the detail.
