im using an Intel 3570k CPU and the motherboard (ASUS z68 pro/gen 3) has an onboard HDMI 1.4 port and i use power DVD 12 with my Liteon blu ray burner and 3D blu-rays play perfectly well the rips were giving me an issue on XBMC ie the mouse was getting stuttery and so was the picture but then i discovered this was because i had set the audio to output via HDMI but i had specified the wrong output - once i specified that the audio needed to passthrough to the AVR - i got the DTS-HD(ma) notification lighting up on the receiver and playback is smoother than a baby's bottom now so IMHO its either the software since IMHO powerDVD9 was a dud and powerDVD12 is hugely improved or its some setting in the software that is limiting the output bandwidth and causing your issues - go over your settings again BTW - i have both the above described PC as well as my microserver with AMD HD6450 graphics card both playing 3D perfectly but the microserver does not have a blu-ray drive - so im only playing the (side-by-side) rips on the microserver from my hard drive storage
