Hi Guys, I was playing with my old Yamaha tuner which developed the problem that if you turn the tuning knob, the pointer on the dial doesn't really move. In my attempts to tighten the slack on the thin rope that moves the pointer on the dial and also adjusts the tuning capacitor, I snapped the rope. So now I'd like to know what kind of wire / rope do I need? The old one was a bit stiff and worn at the point where the tuning knob puts torque on it. The only thing I'm concerned about is that that same place where the little axel has the wire looped around it about 2 or three times, needs to be able to grip the wire so that the rest of the system can move. Or will the spring "loaded-ness" of the system make almost any nylon rope of correct size work? Any ideas? Thanks Leon
