I'm new to this game (posting on the forum AND buying cool things), looking for some nice criticism
My needs are around 50/50 between theater and music. The room is 6mx6m and I am willing to move everything in it to accommodate the system optimally. The rears would have to go on stands. So after lots of reading reviews, browsing forums, auditioning different setups and looking around for nice deals I've got the following in my sights:
Yamaha RX-A810 amp
Yamaha BD-S671 Blu-ray player
B&W 684 package (684, 685, HTM62, ASW610)
Not particularly fond of the S671, but there's a nice bundle deal with the A810 going around and I'd actually have use for the iPod dock that comes with it.
That bundle (R10,500.00), the 684 pack (R19,990.00) plus cabling (+-R2500.00) comes to R33k, which is around my budget.
I like the 684s, they really make this for me, especially listening to music in stereo only.
