Sorry to hear what happened Mervin. As for my feelings on this - as a Gastarbeiter (think that?s how it is spelt). I have no family here, no SO, no kids. I do not plan to have any of these anyway (unless an SO happens and then no kids). I can have a much happier and more fulfilling life in SA than in the UK. If I was to go anywhere it would have been Germany although Egypt was running a close second and with Brexit would take over. I find the ?little Englander? mentality stifling to the point where after a week in the UK I am convinced never to return to live there if I can. In Germany it is the opposite, I just want to stay (admittedly I am in St Pauli and Berlin most of the time and find both refreshing in their diversity and open-ness because I can just be myself). Over here I can be myself, I don?t have to pander to some misplaced ideal of tea and cricket on the village square which is as far removed from my experience and enjoyment of The UK as a kid and as a young adult. I think it all depends upon your own history, your outlook (personal political) and expectations. I expect all politicians to be crooks and very few have shown me wrong. The current shite storm in the White House, the Brexiteer idiots (with their cosseted and rose tinted views of ?Great Britain?, the AfD, and the lot of them here, there and everywhere. ?So will the real Great Britain step forward?? ADF circa 2000
