One of my favourite musical genres to be sure Movie music is a legacy of the 20th century's greatest artform. The great majority of music composed for movies is original, but you do get the repetitious type of music where the composer enlisted the aid of a computer to generate a melody. Then again, some contemporary music has been used in films, which was not the original intention Having said that, some notable ones are Edute - Mike Oldfield Company of Wolves - George Fenton Schindler's List by John Williams Huma's Hymn from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Trainspotting Several tracks from The Mission by Ennio Morricone Live and Let Die (James Bond) Zorba the Greek The da Vinci Code from Hans Zimmer Also Gladiator Also Black Hawk Down Rush (1976) Irreversible by Thomas Bangalter La La Land ... and one fun one - Always Look on the Bright Side of Life by Monty Python One which disappoints is 2049 from Hans Zimmer Only slightly better is The Theory of Everything by Johann Johannson. A movie close to my heart since my mother worked in Bletchley Park for 4 years during WWII. A very accurate movie which did not skip over the terrible treatment of Alan Turing after the war
