Installed 9 cameras, NVR with a hard drive in 2019 in an apartment building in Cape Town s/suburbs

Come load-shedding, they want something to run the system

There is already an access control system (maglock, GSM phone access) in place, operating from 12 volts

So I got them 4 x 105 a/h lead-acid batteries and a 20 amp intelligent charger. This works fine

A trustee donated a 500 watt inverter. The first one lasted 4 months and just stopped working. The second one lasted 14 months. The third has just failed after 22 months. These seem to be tiny things and have a loud fan that is on 24/7

What can I supply them that a) will last a few years, 2) does not sound like a jet engine and 3) is not too expensive. The stuff from Takealot is dreadful. I got one from TaL. It lasted 3 days and was rated at 1000 watts

Btw: I measured the total load at 230 volts. It is 1.6 amps, so 370 watts

Thank you!
