I built the headphone amp or NuHybrid HPA if you want. Info here http://pmillett.com/nuhybrid.html Build here https://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,66364.msg804554.html#msg804554 The build itself was fairly straight forward bar some self-inflicted issues. I've tested a few headphones like the HD650, HD800, Beyer's Amiron and a Audeze LCD-2. Some friends had a listen a listen too and everyone was happy with the performance. Or they just didn't want to hurt my feelings, who knows. Personally I'm very happy and pleased with the sound. That said I have virtually no experience with tube amps so really cannot comment on the performance compared to traditional tube amps. I can say the sound is warm/forgiving. The tops rolls off. And that I am personally very happy with it. I think it pairs very well with a class-d amp, I'm using a Allo volt+ which is basically a TPA3118. https://www.allo.com/sparky/volt-plus-amp.html As for the measurements. What I can say is that I did some basic measurements and suffice to say it was enough for me. Its worth mentioning that above was with an input voltage of about 3 volts whereas I'm using about 24 volts.
