The cheapest courier service (for furniture) i used was Timefreight. They charged me R1200 for large furniture items from CT to jhb, when every other courier was asking R2500+ Only thing is... they're not the most "competent" or trustworthy courier out there. Over a 5yr period i might've used them maybe 12 times. Their drivers/delivery guys broke my expensive pieces TWICE, due to bad handling, and just general lack of common sense on how to LIFT furniture. They'd carry my heavy "chaise lounge" pieces by the legs!! And THAT woulda been OK actually, IF the unit was RIGHT SIDE UP, but theyd do this with unit turned on its SIDE!! Putting ALL STRAIN on the leg joints. :headbanger: Still, maybe 2 fails, or 10 successes out of 12 is 2 risky 4u. Whatever u decide, as long as u stay away from POSERS like Star Couriers, u good. Absolute WORST of the lot, and I had just 1 dealing with them. SO BAD i could never touch them AGAIN.
