[QUOTE="BJ, post: 902766, member: 17783"] Below some Sound advise from a fellow member that went through this process, I suggest you PM Rick and have him share his experience with you... He ended up with an old Lady....legend of an amp.....so breaking the bank not needed. BW802?s are Power hungry.....good old school 350-500w with lots of current is needed to get them to shine.... Have fun  Re: B&W Nautilus 802, what amp to pair them with? ? Reply #27 on: November 27, 2018, 07:16:12 PM ? Quote Just a quick post back on this one, after going through endless amps I finally paired them with something relatively old and modest, a Carver Tfm-45, and I could not be happier. its 375W/Ch into 8 Ohm and 500W/Ch into 4 ohm. This is a reminder to me that some equipment just pairs superbly with other kit, whilst some does not regardless of its pedigree and once again its not always about cost and the latest or greatest most expensive route in which audio nirvana can be found. The N802 with its very large midranges sounded like bad megaphones with just about every large and expensive amp I tried and unexpectedly after I dubiously hooked up yet another one bam! there was the sweet sound I had been looking for. Second very expensive lesson learned is if your system sounds great to you - then just leave it alone and enjoy it, because changing one component (in my case speakers) had me then changing half the rest of it to get back to where I started, and then a whole lot more for improvement. ?
