[QUOTE="user 997, post: 1068010, member: 997"] I have to say it is pretty rare and awesome to see a DIY guide offered by a local dealer of a product. Just to clarify, would this process only apply to out of warranty repairs if I own an Audeze product? Do in warranty products still need to be shipped overseas to Audeze for repairs or would the same process above also apply to in warranty products supported by spares? It would really be terrific, though this is dependent on goodwill and the assistance of your neighbour whether this could also be offered to some of the other forum members here who have had driver failures in their headphones who aren't as comfortable with a soldering iron, as ultimately we would all love to see a local repair and support presence established for such an exclusive headphone brand. Support and spares availability is my only reservation about buying a pair for myself (LCD-X/XC), but if I'm also able to purchase two replacement drivers for the price of one and do the repair myself I would probably give it a shot.
