It will provide a home for the excess PV that I expect you will have and will help reduce your Eskom usage.</p><p>But you can add batteries at any time, so this is not tied to adding solar panels to your system.</p><p></p><p>One other thing to maybe think about: Is your 2nd geyser running on a 3kW or 2kW element? I also have my main geyser on a heat pump and have replaced the element in my 2nd geyser with a smaller 2kW element to better manage the overall system load. The geyser takes a bit longer to heat but reduces peak consumption</p></blockquote><p></p>
