[QUOTE="Lamb Chop, post: 945782, member: 22294"] Dear all, thank you for your replies. Even the :sh1tstirrer: I don't have the funds or medical aid available to go for extensive tests. (or operations). R600K sounds like a lotto win. My defect is not serious enough to justify such expenses or radical interventions. Honestly, I don't think they actually know what is wrong with my hearing. Yes, did the whole shebang of doctors, audiologists and a highly regarded ENT. They were all nice, but none could help me. The only consolation I have from the all these visits are, that if there was something wrong, that could have been treated or cured, it would have been done. (I hope and believe) Sadly this is not my case. [member=14332]entropyagent[/member] and [member=997]kamikazi[/member]- interesting comments, thank you! Kamikazi, if I may ask, what is the story with sinus, how does it interfere with hearing and cause damage? I have had sinus for as long as I can remember. I am very careful of the volume on my buds and of course very aware of my hearing issues, so extra aware of volume. I do not notice the unbalanced sound when using earbuds, that's kinda weird and not expected. This is what draws me to headphones now, but I find it very difficult to get used to the sound. I miss my speakers. I miss my speakers. Can anyone recommend a set of inexpensive headphones that will sound almost like speakers? I am struggling to get used to headphones, they just do not sound like speakers :( [/QUOTE]
