These speakers will, for now, be used as a baseline, budget-oriented, first-off build. They're not going to be in a small room or a sound room at all. I'm planning to use them next to the TV, perhaps as speakers to watch movies and things on. Since we live in a complex it won't go loud and I'm sure they'll sound better than my current source of sound - an el-cheapo Samsung soundbar. I plan to learn from this and sell off the speakers in a while after I'm done with the build, so the above helps A LOT. I know they're not the world's best drivers and I don't care, they're not supposed to be. I do have a contact here who's planning on importing some of the better drivers from Sica with a next run so I'll probably chip in on those as well.</p><p></p><p>As a PS: I'm using drivers and crossovers from the kits Dreamerm6 is selling here: https://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,63132.0.html</p></blockquote><p></p>
This is an incredibly comprehensive explanation and I understand more than half of it less than I should... :P I kid (it's a Lord of the Rings joke) but I do see your points. I do have a contact here who's planning on importing some of the better drivers from Sica with a next run so I'll probably chip in on those as well. As a PS: I'm using drivers and crossovers from the kits Dreamerm6 is selling here: https://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,63132.0.html
