I have been watching the Get Back documentary on Disney+. A few thoughts, after having (almost) reached the end of halfway, iow ep 2.

There is a LOT of unnecessary footage here. It makes it overly long and kind of misses the point, as some is really just silly posing for the camera.
A lot of smoking, gosh, and rubbing of the gums... And overall just an unhealthy environment, e.g. the many hangovers in ep. 1.
But, inbetween all that, gems galore. To see how some of those memorable songs were conceived and then subsequently recorded among the rather primitive mess that was Apple studios (ep. 2), is very interesting.
Also, to see the dynamics of the famous 4, from where they start off (in this story) as a disjointed, very unhappy group, and how they get their act back together (ep. 2).

Too long, but too interesting to avoid. To think those very same songs have not only ended up as rock history, but sound as good as they do...
