I was thinking of a Valve Pre so soften any Solid State amp. The Ribbons are the mids as far as I can tell. The good news is that Roland has returned both power amplifiers and given them a clean bill of health after his skilled mind and hands did the necessary. There was a hum on one of the bass units so I had Roland repair it and replace the same components on the second speaker's amp with the same as those he had to use in the repair of the first amp. Now to put back the amps and power supplies and get back to listening on the Predator. Then this weekend I can do the back-to-back of the Geco and Bryston.
