Absolutely brilliant unit but it has me baffled...
New components throughout,Triode Electronics power supply board under the hood,new pre/driver board,new output valves as well as drivers....when I got the amp the only thing not new was the rectifier,I fitted a Mullard gz34 but it could possibly be used old stock.The amp ran great no problems at all....
Yesterday I switched her on and she starts up fine for about 1minute before sending loud popping sounds through the speakers and bang goes the mains fuse....no sparking rectifier seen and mains transformer is cool as a cucumber....any ideas asseblief?
