Heres my setup: Yamaha RXA 3040 amp Pioneer Blu Ray 3D Player B&W 684 S2 fronts B&W 686 S2 surrounds B&W HTM 62 S2 centre B&W 686 S2 rear surround x 1 B&W ASW610 S2 Sub Van Den Hul and Monster Bi-Wire cabling I have heard tons of really expensive gear with di-poles, trip-poles etc and honestly I believe HOW you set up your sound matters and not WHAT your set up is. Don't get me wrong, the gear is of paramount importance and sonic coherence between all speakers is the number 1 priority. But most people simply purchase gear due to good reviews, or hearsay or just because they want to own a particular brand. The lack of sonic cohesion is in most instances completely overlooked. I am about to install a set of CCM65's into the ceiling to enjoy ATMOS and will let everyone know once done and what my impressions are. My sound is set up almost perfectly IMO and the steering and fx placement is spot on. I am immersed in a broad soundstage that is in no small way thanks to the Yamaha. So sometimes, the best form of elegance is to "keep it simple"
