Behringer and QSC RMX is of course not the cream of the crop, but some of the nicer stuff is so well protected, that large manufacturers don't even include any protection infront of a compression driver with controlled systems. You would be surprized what these amps are up to, even when driving bass loads in lower impedance settings. On friday night I ran the complete mid section 2 ohm off one channel (HF off the other) to free up a second bass amp (both bridged into 4 ohm) and the tight bass was quite astounding. In a home setting these arguments become truly silly though, as sufficient levels are reached just as the signal lights come on. The s/n of these power amps is also quite sufficient, so that my mixer has a noise floor at least 15dB higher than the controller/amp combo.
