As you guys know by now, I always say to each his own. Personally, I like to power speakers with amps with watts output that is (accurately and truthfully) rated at around 25% more than the speakers. So, I have 200watt spkrs, sensitivity 90, driven by a 250watt per channel amp. I can personally hear better dynamics and have the peace of mind that the speakers are well controlled. And I NEVER go over position 11 on the volume dial. Works for me. As an aside, I often think back to the 80's when the 3020 drove the AR's so well. I still think that that was amazing. Then, as we all know the audatious opposite, there ard those boxes with the all-mighty 1 300 000 000 000watts "pmpo!!!" In red font on a sticker on the corner, with a power consumption at 35watts. And yes, people buy the bullsh!t, and then they buy the sh!t. And they believe that bullsh!t when they listen to their sh!t... Or like a "4000 watt" ICE car amp.
