I am thinking of doing a DIY speaker project, but I have no idea where to start ;) Let me start with listing what I would potentially want to achieve: - 2-way standmount with good low extention(smallish room 3 x 2.5m) - Simple as possible crossover, if possible I would like to buy a crossover instead of having to try and make one(my soldering skilss are terrible!) - I DO NOT want anything that sound like the smaller B&W's or KEFs. A similiar sound to Sonor Audio's would be perfect - smooth highs, low extention without booming bass - Power handling around 100w, impedance around 4 ohms should be fine - Cabinet construction MDF with either veneer or else there is a possibility that I could get hold of some Australian Jarra and try a 2-layer construction. - I would love to say money is no object, but off course it is! On the other hand there is no urgency, so I could spread the purchases over a period of time Any pointers?
