[QUOTE="1200GXman, post: 879110, member: 17884"] Good day all. My apologies for coming back so late with a update. I was hit hard by a stomach flue bug and was booked off sick. I forgot the diagrams at home today but will remember them tomorrow. I however have some exciting news with narrowing down what it can be and the experts might know what the solution can be. The AC power cable has the Live, Neutral and Ground wires. All go to the transformer. Ground I attached to one of the screws of the transformer body. The other two obviously form part of the transformers internal winding by connection. The whole amplifier cabinet is made of wood except the front face plate which is aluminum. I found out that if I touch the face plate there is a slight hum. The more fingers I put on the face plate the louder the hum becomes. Now the trick. I decided Saturday just out of curiosity to touch the face plate while switching off the amp. Low and behold, the relay immediately clicked to disengage and there was no loud pop from the speakers.
