https://tidal.com/browse/album/324635513 The physical CD box has 8 CDs. The new concert is at the end of the digital version, the songs are marked Rainbow 1979 as in the link to Tidal. In the box are 24 bit remastered and extended versions of the official live albums, Alchemy, On The Night and Encores plus an unreleased short BBC show and the Rainbow show from 1979. The Rainbow show is the real gem in this release! I don’t want to say the other albums are bad in any way, but listen to this and you will know what I mean. Although the Rainbow show was recorded 3 years before Alchemy, it has much better quality. Back then bands only had 4 track tape machines. 16 track recording equipment was only available in a few venues and not portable. In London it was The Rainbow, in New York the Palladium, Felt Forum and Madison Square Garden (names of the same venue) and in LA I think Shrine Auditorium, but I am not sure. This is why there are so many live albums recorded at these venues from the 70ties. Later, portable multitrack recording equipment became available so bands could record at any venue in very high quality. If the Rainbow show would have been released as a separate new Dire Straights album, it would have been quite a sensation. But inside this box it may escape many peoples attention. Just listen to it!
