I was thinking to use computer UPS as power conditioner for my home theater gear. I am not after expensive audiophile grade power conditioning stuff. All I need is surge(lightning) protection and reasonably clean power supply to ensure stable power for receiver, lcd tv, BR player, game console, etc. Would clearline surge protector unit and on-line sinewave ups 1.0 or 1.5 kva work ok? Price is the issue, hopefully above combination will not be uber expensive. Does this concept makes sense or I need to go specialized audio/video power conditioning route.
