@Joel, I have to strongly disagree with you. When I installed my Bravia LCD I eschewed connecting the PVR via composite or S-video and bought the Kramer FC-4 RGB to component converter. The results on SD were way better than I had ever seen on even the very best CRT boxes. Admittedly the image quality was very dependent on the quality of the source material. Most movies on M-Net and series such as all the CSIs produced a quality which I can now safely say, was almost as good as HD and certainly as good as DVD up-scaled to 720p via my Sony DVD player. With the installation of the HD PVR I'm still running a component video feed directly to the screen for normal TV viewing where I don't feel the need to fire up the whole home theatre system and the results on the aforementioned shows is pretty much what I had before. HD via the HDMI output on the HD PVR however is a whole different ball game, widescreen, DD 5:1 and 720p un-scaled. It's like watching everything in Blu-Ray. The image depth, three dimensionality, sharpness and colour are mind blowing.
