Inspired by an article written by the late Chris Templer (https://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/extended_onken_cabinets_e.html) we considered building an Onken derived enclosure
Coincidentally, a member of the Audio WhatsApp group The Kassler Rib, one Michon just happened to mention that he might be disposing of some 12" Philips drivers, specifically the AD 12202/M8 units at a rock bottom price
Both the thought of building an enclosure a la Chris Templer and a speaker driver approaching a rock bottom price sounded terribly attractive, so we bit the bullet and sent off the payment to Michon
The speakers have arrived and are currently relaxing on a table prior to being run through some tests...
The current thought is to build these into an open baffle type enclosure. We have our expert woodcutter and speaker builder, Jozua who will no doubt be doing much of the work. Drawing of the design to follow
