why not accept the deal for now and make an appointment to only install the new decoder after you finish watching all the recordings on the old unit - normally once you are up-to-date then it takes around one day to do the new installation and then one day of fiddling around to get the status of the new decoder as you previously had the old decoder .... which is why i spent the two weeks before doing my new install to finish watching all my recordings so now my old HD decoder is packed away and i can probably sell it on if someone needs it but otherwise i completely finished with it before even installing the new Exploras im pretty sure that two weeks of binge watching should get you close to being up-to-date with all of your recordings with the explora and the efficient catch up system i dont even record stuff anymore because so many of the series land up being box sets and it takes around a month or two before an episode disappears from catch up so i have found that despite the much larger hard drive im recording far less
