Bryston BCD-1 Tray hiccups

All, my Bryston CDP is misbehaving, the tray opens erratically, makes a whirring sound, no action, works sometimes. It had previously given uphill I sent to the dealer and they adjusted something and it was ok (I can see nothing that can be adjusted).

Questions... should I lube anything, was thinking the rail that has teeth which I assume connects to the motor. It is a VAM 1202/12

Any advise welcome.
