I have just completed re-watching quite a few movies and decided to make my own Reference list, which is based on visual and Audio quality: 1. Saving Private Ryan (BD, and DVD) - the soundtrack on BD is simply stupendous and yes it is better than the original DVD. I recall watching this also on VHS a long time ago on a "simuated" 2.1 system. 2. Titus (DVD) - I havent found this on BD yet, but will snap it up instantly if I do. The visuals in this film is pure eye-candy. It is a heavy watch, but is really worth it, although not all have agreed with me 3. BBC's Planet Earth (BD) - I have yet to see crisp images and amasing panoramas like this on any other documentary or movie. This to me really showcases the absolute best possible from the BlyRay format. 4. Quantum of solice (BD) opening chase scene - the bullets FEEL real 5. House of flying daggers (DVD) - scenery, crisp vivid colours and fast clear sound to match 6. Kung Fu Hustle (BD) - even though it is a good few years old - it stilll wows me and is a lot of fun 7. Matrix one (BD) I still haven't seen Master and Commander yet!
