I use a 12A (i.e. 2700W (3000VA)) unit at home, also operated during power failures from 2 x 200AH batteries. It fixes my voltage at 230V, mains incomer in Potch sometimes drops as low as 215V :o :o. It is more than enough for the ML33H's, although these Class A buggers consume 700W each at normal listening volumes and about 600W at idle (Damn Class A, but only damned for this). Cold unit start up current is however seriously high. 14A per unit, so I have to do it one at a time. The AC regenerator can handle up to 25A start up currents while on-line and 18A whilst running of batteries (probably not pure sine wave then but clipped). Mervin, one thing I can assure you, you won't easily damage any ML stuff with shitty voltage. They simply trip, even with a dead short over either AC in or speaker out. Tested by some hobo at stereophile.
