[QUOTE="Rotelman, post: 834096, member: 19028"] From their website : "In order to achieve true linearity and high-speed response, we made emitter resistance-less circuits which had zero-ohm emitter resistors and eliminated all contacts starting with the relays of the protection circuit, both of which affected sound quality a lot. In addition, we derived power cables directly from a large size Flat Wire power transformer with large EI-core (20kg). These innovative technologies affecting the sound quality attracted attention and attained a reputation as amplifiers of good sound quality." I'm not sure either, but it seems they've eliminated the resistance on the transistor emitter that helps with auto bias current. They presumably push through much higher current making for increased gain in the amp ? I'm surprised at the choice of a flat wire power transformer, but OK, at 20kg for the transformer, I'm sure there's ample clean juice flowing through there...WOW, what I wouldn't give to play around with a unit like that...
