My own definition of an audio snob is one who believes that the quality of a system is always proportionate to the price. The general attitude I feel from these "audio snobs" is that unless you are listening to music on their systems that is is really pointless. It seems they delight in making (or at least trying to) make others feel inferior if their systems are not of equal value. That is not to say all of those with posh systems are this way inclined as I have met some very nice chaps who are in it for the music As far as ferraris go. You get those who buy them to be ogled in and then you get those who buy them to DRIVE them! The first category are again snobs who are simply attempting to define their personal value by the monetary value of the vehicle they drive and then trying to convery that worth to others. In short whats the motive behind your purchasing / owning choice?
