Wow kids, having fun? In my first post, I was 'dissed' for the amp I just got (http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,1340.0.html), and I took it in the way that my new "HOLY-SHIT-THIS-IS-THE-BEST-AMP-EVER" AV Receiver (my opinion) was not what the rest of you would consider the best. I actually chuckled at the 'torture' remark, as this amp is PERFECT for me. These sorts of debates have gone on forever, Intel vs AMD, BMW vs Mercedes, PC vs Mac, and so on. These opinions (even though they are based on years of experience and sound technical knowledge) are still just that, opinions. I am an utter noob when it comes to which turntable stylus sound better than another, why one type of cable makes a difference, and which brand of speakers sound better. I think it's less of BETTER/WORSE and more of DIFFERENT. I know what I like, and I believe the rest of you would agree with that. Some of you are authorities on these matters, and that's the reason that I joined this forum, simply to ask the stupid questions, and learn from others' mistakes. Why not agree to disagree, or am I missing the point entirely? Oh wait - this is one of those 'moral victory' things... Winning an argument on the internet is very much like winning gold in the special Olympics.
