Gentlemen Lets kill two birds with one stone. @Crisc Test is flawed as that is the job of the sending and receiving clock (to remove as much jitter as possible). So if you have a good transmitter (in my case Asus STX) and a high quality Dac as the receiver there will be very little jitter transmitted and even that being filtered out by the receiving clock and it's buffer. Read K.EEL's response under the original article Infact it's exactly the opposite with digital coaxial being superior to A. Toslink B. Usb I found USB the worst performer in all my years of playing with Digital Coax the best, followed by Toslink and then only Usb @Stereosane Test is flawed because of the above. Accurate and the right result would have been Onboard coaxial vs coaxial through a soundcard out to a device and or Toslink vs Coaxial out to device. That said, I only found Digital Coaxial better once I used it through the soundcard. In other tests I did years back, I found that Toslink lacks a little bass vs Coax outputted from various devices. My :2c:
