Yes... the idea with the Apple TV device will be to replace the apps of the TV. Let me try again: Currently I have Youtube, Dstv, Netflix and Showmax installed on my tv. When I take my TV's remote to power the TV on it also powers the Yamaha amp at the same time because I have HDMI control setup on the tv to do so. Then I can use the TV's remote to navigate through the apps on my tv as well as changing the volume of the amp. Very minimalistic setup and I quite like it this way. No need to fiddle with a few remotes. Now... If I connect an Apple TV to the mix, I'd like to be able to use one remote, say either the TV's remote or the Apple's remote to switch on the system all at once and then navigate to Apple TV and watch whatever platform I want to. I know... it is unnecessarily confusing. Hope this is a bit of a clearer explanation.
