Anyone have experience with Martin Logan Speakers?

I the way the ex and her dad went on about them, you'd expect them to be the best thing since Stereo, but I was pretty unimpressed. Thing is, they were right in the corners of a fairly small room(3m x 3m if I recall), and felt flat and struggling. Back then I didn't pay much attention to the AMP and source, so I can only assume the AMP was underpowered for the speakers, and being in a small room in the corners hurt more than it helped.
