MA BR5: a very evenly balanced speaker. Clinical - detailed, especially in the treble. Decent midrange (slightly recessed). Very tight, agile bass - though a bit light for a floorstander - albeit with small 5.5" drivers. Polk Audio RTI A3; a very open speaker. But could be on your face. All or nothing - like a sports car. Great for uptempo music. Treble detailed but lacks some refinement. MA BX2; a very cold sounding speaker. I honestly prefered the Wharfedale Diamond 10.1, instead. My comments above are in comparison & limited to a shootout of the speakers in question (in the context of my system). If you ask me, I prefer the Polk for spl, timing and midrange and bass punch.
