Most amplifiers have low input sensitivity compared to output voltage of preamps and DACs with volume control. Example amp input sensitivity could be 2 v whereas preamp max output voltage could be as high as 30 volts. Could this pose a problem? What about adding a preamp to a DAC with volume control ?
