[QUOTE="user 997, post: 194353, member: 997"] Cool review! Yep sadly Yamaha is not the best out there in terms of stereo capabilities. My previous old Marantz AVR was also better in that regard. The Yammies also don't really improve that much when you go up the range too.. I thought with you coming from the Marantz SR7500 which was a fantastic and powerful AVR at that time that you might run the risk of being disappointed in the A810 with a bit less horsepower? But I do think the amplifiers and processing capabilities have come on some way since then. Back then the SR7500 was out of my reach and bought the SR5600 which in itself was also a great AVR, but not anywhere near rivalling the quality and power of the SR7500! I replaced it with a RX-V767 which was a nice upgrade, but still kind of in the same AVR class, I think the A810 is again a bit better than the RX-V767, but with their model number realignment its difficult to make comparisons! Eventually switched to the to the RX-V2067 which definitely has a bit more amplifier and processing power! Sadly since moving house and running into space constraints I'm back on satellites and the bigger Yamaha is now a bit overkill! :ticked: But thanks for sharing your thoughts and nice write up!
