Hello all you knowledgeable folk.
I?m in need of some advice. I saw the other 802 thread but didn?t want to hijack that discussion. My question is also a bit more specific.
I initially ran 802d2s with a Cambridge audio 851a (125wpc). I then purchased an 840w from Simango (200wpc).
I?m currently using the 851a as a preamp into the 840w. Simango gave me the idea of bi-amping these with a view to feeding the 802s a bit more juice. I assume I?d continue to use the 851a preamp and run the upper speaker terminals from the 851 a and the lower terminals from the 840w.
Is there any reason why this wouldn?t give me a better result or cause potential harm to any of the equipment?
Any comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.
