Thanks for the responses all.... Tonight, I thought I'd randomly give it a bash and viola, it worked perfectly again. LOL, I have no idea why. After that I checked for updates and saw that there were new drivers for my: - sound card - windows media centre - .net framework update - and various other updates None of these were there a few days ago. I still think that some thing like this had to do with a .net framework file going bad somewhere. Just wish I knew what it was so I could fix it in future if it popped up again. cybasoul, I don't scan often but always have an antivirus running. As for why I like mediacentre most, take a look at this thread here. Quite simple I like to be able to control everything from one location seamlessly with my remote. Uriah, i've had that issue before. By re-installing your codecs with the k-lite codec pack to can decide what file format plays in which program. Tachyon, that's a dam good idea. That would have been my seconds resort tonight if my first didn't work. Thankfully I didn;t need to do anything at all. LOL. I planned too uninstall all windows updates and re-install them + sound drivers back again. I've needed that exorcist a few times I must admit ;-)
