Sorry but as your best interest is at heart the following: First a little history Rockford Fostgate is an American brand that specialized in manufacturing car audio amplifiers. Later they expanded their products into speakers as well. After growing tired of MB Quart kicking the asses for 15 years in a row they simply bought out the company in Germany. Now here is where it gets sad. They promptly set about destroying the brand MB with their own offerings and quickly MB Quart was the brand to avoid with made in China bling offerings. Now IMHO (installed car audio pro) for 20 years plus, there is NO WAY in the world you can even compare Rockford Fostgate speakers to the likes of Rainbow! Other brands to consider in that league are German Maestro and Focal car audio range. A little lower are Hertz car audio(Italy) and Boston. I would still consider these above RF as they are specialist speaker manufacturing companies. If this were my vehicle I would consider the RF amplifiers, but would have insisted on the Rainbow or other speakers recommended above. As it is a lot of money you are spending, try and arrange for auditions. My :2c: worth, good luck with your decisions.
