Tried my HD 595's on my Panasonic plasma and it sounds okay. It plays really loud, 1/4 volume is more than enough.

Hopefully this in done during assembly and maybe the replacement drivers are of higher spec, but it is still puzzling that they would add the foam pad to degrade the sound quality of the HD 555. ???
