Any Reason Not To Install A Gas Geyser

If I may add - make sure the unit(s) is protected from wind. It kills it's performance.

    Removing Anodizing From Aluminum

Yes thats the only way - but the resulting gasses is extremely rough on the respiratory system. Do it outside and don't be macho and breath the fumes.

Does this also count as tape? That was Stevie Ray Vaughn recorded at 15ips on an Otari MX-5050 II.

    Leak tl 12’s

Getting back to the original poster's topic, allow the man to attempt to get the best price for his pair of Leak amplifiers. He has the fullest right on God's green earth to attempt to generate as much money as possible by selling his amplifiers or doing as he pleases with them. Nothing we say...

    Leak tl 12’s

It is not that easy Francois. Winding an audio transformer that does not oscillate or defibrillate is an art on its own. I am sitting here with oom Johan Potgieters Halle amplifier and it is just not playing along.

    Leak tl 12’s

The Leak TL-12 amplifier is a highly coveted vintage valve amplifier and is quite valuable. It is best to keep it as original as possible with the exception of mandatory capacitor replacements, fresh valves and cables. It is highly desired for its charming sound. Doing a full rebuild will kill...

12V load shed stereo tube amplifier

Excellent idea! You surely can try using those buck and boost converter modules. And it will be a breeze getting 6.3 and 300v from a 12v supply. They just need extra filtering to get them quiet.

    Gauteng Hi-Fi Guild

I just came of a phone call with one of the guys I had the initial discussion with about the Hi-Fi Guild concept. The important angle is that there must be a committee with paid membership fees and a proper structure. Also, another important part is it should be about The Music and the...

    Gauteng Hi-Fi Guild

I agree - any dead-trodden Audiophile tracks are banned. Personally, for me it is Oh Yeah by Yello. I will f*&kn run out of the room if I have to hear it again.

    Gauteng Hi-Fi Guild

I am NOT a fan of Whatsapp groups. It is truly a burden and can consume huge chunks of wasted time. The aim with a Guild would be to have a board with a structure. There will be a membership fee and it will all be democratic and civil.

    Mission System 780 Argonaut

To replace the diaphragms is quite an easy job. And then they will be fresh. Finding an original tweeter will be the luck of the draw.
