    Tell me about these interconnects

I recently discovered that Palladium coated Silver cables work the best - you still get the beautiful shine of the Silver, without the obvious glare. Personally, I would not trust any graphite conductor with analogue signals.

    DAPS - Hiby R6 pro 2

Who knows where this "hobby" is taking us... When the time comes to upgrade, you gotta love a yellow case. Upgrade to YELLOW

I second that... and would be prepared to "bid" for said DAP. @David Morris you need this DAP.

or R399 for a couple more hours at OneDayOnly

Are there IEM's that are comfortable to lie on while listening?

Limited experience, but I find IEM's extremely uncomfortable to lie on. Granted, it happened accidentally, but still... Just don't do it, at any cost.

    Advice on active audio

16bit/44.1kHz : 1,411kbps (635MB/h) 24bit/48kHz : 2,304kbps (1,036MB/h) - 63% (rel.) more bits per second of sound :) CD at 16bit/44.1kHz sounds pretty fantastic. I just like the different colour lights on my DAC, when streaming hi-rez.

Hey, that's my Father in Law. He had some health issues and stopped singing a year or two ago, but generally he is doing okay. He lives in Alberton.

MQA rescued by owner of NAD and Bluesound

Bottom line, someone sees value in it. I suspect they did their homework before investing like this.

    Hifiman EF400 & Sennheiser HD600's

Sounds like a play date over the weekend? But first, CPT hifi expo/show on Friday afternoon. I use the EF400 to drive IEMs at my work desk. I do (think I) find it a little "lacklustre" driving DCA Ether2. Fezz Audio Omega Lupi EVO gets some magic sounds from my favourite DCA Ether 2. The Fezz...

    The King Has Returned.

Hisense do a 98"? Is it any good though? My aunt complained terribly about her 55' Hisense TV. It's all over facebook.

How many of you like the sound system in your car?

My old Subaru Legacy had a McIntosh system as standard - absolutely awesome and drop dead gorgeous (I thought). I miss that car. CD head unit packed up and was replaced under warranty - R27k and this was about 63years ago.

Lease or rent of hifi equipment

Yes please... Sounds grand for the buyers, but I suspect a working costing model will not be that great. Judging by prices on the forum classifieds, looks like 50% depreciation in month 1... As @chrisc mentioned, without a substantial deposit, the seller could have a hard time recouping losses.

What Happpened To The Elusive Soundstage?

Interesting topic. I'd love to be able to hear your setup @Skylar Possibly, what I think is "excellent sound staging" may be like watching a B&W CRT TV image from the 60s, compared to HDR 8k (or something grand). How difficult to reproduce a proper soundstage with just two speakers? You'd have...

    DHL question

At least it is at the airport, could have been at the sea port. Fingers crossed DHL keep the parcel in hand. Might take a week or two longer, but at least it should arrive safely.
