    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

Did you find that the iPower and USB cable made a difference? I have a Zen DAC that I would be interested to try this with. I'm surprised to hear the Airpods are not far off the desktop setup. I have heard they're good but didn't know that good. Definitely agree. Bluetooth does the trick for...

    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

Wow that is awesome to hear. Can you please share which BT transmitter you picked up? I have been very pleased with the audio quality from my Bose BT headphones but if I could improve it then it could be worth looking into!

    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

Thanks for that. From what I saw online a few people said the Zen DAC was fine on the 6XX but it got better when using a balanced cable. I wasn't aware that this still was not the ideal setup for them. Either way, I didn't end up getting them on the sale as I was undecided. I'm going to spend...

    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

Appreciate the input. I definitely see where you're coming from. I think I need to spend a bit more time with my Bose to truly appreciate the higher quality offerings. It also seems that I may have to enter that higher tier category to see a big difference.

    Balanced pentaconn cable for HD600

What is the difference between these more expensive cables listed above and something such as this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096LX46VL/?coliid=I31H2XK158Y2ZA&colid=19L3KBJ54GN1Y&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

That makes sense, I mostly listen to pop music. My friend was able to pick out the top end detail from them, but to my untrained ear I can't really pinpoint it. The smoothness is more apparent.

    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

Thank you for the in-depth answer. I think you are certainly correct that the right headphone will likely show me the difference more clearly and the cheaper sets don't really do that for me. Hopefully, I get to try one of these proper audiophile setups at some point so I can see for myself. I'm...

    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

Thanks for your input. I have always been against cables but I caved when I was struggling to find decent Bluetooth headphones. At this point, my top priority is comfort and everything else comes after.

    Hi-Fi Headphones vs Bluetooth

I currently own a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770s (80 ohms) which I'm running through an EarMen Sparrow DAC and have been using for the past month or so. Today, I just got a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 IIs. Straight off the bat, I expected a bigger disparity in audio quality between the two. My...

    Bluetooth Headphones

Personally, I would go for the Sony's and call it done. While they may be more expensive than other Bluetooth headphones, they definitely make up for it in comfort and sound quality (at least to my ears). I tried a few cheap BT headphones and they were all cheap for a reason - subpar comfort...
