Hi Baseline. Thank you for the response. The speakers I am using are a pair Cambridge Audio S70. They are quite easy to drive at 90db sensitivity. The seller for the as301 is not too far from me and will go through to have a listen. If it sounds good to my ears may just go with that.

@ Strainger If you have no need and ever want to get rid of the sixes tweeters i would be willing to take them of you hands,  for a fair price of course. I have  a pair of 603's  that need the tweeter replaced.

I have also used  a vacuum cleaner with success. You need be quick with the on/off switch though, just a sec or two on the cone.

Another cheap DIY option is a few pieces of pine for a frame and some blockout cloth. Took me about an hour to put mine together and looks pretty good for what it is.

Swap out and play around with stereo amps quite often. Mind you they are mostly vintage integrated amplifiers, so somewhat affordable to do so. Have not changed my AVR or speakers in years.
