Those Ellies surge protector plugs are useful but won't help if you get a direct hit. I simply unplug with each storm. Good luck, I hope your insurance company replaces the lot for you.

I know what you mean, some bookshelves contrary to their size just sing better the more power you feed them. I have a set of Mission's that just blow me away everytime.

Yes this is really not a coincidence. I got food poisoning 3 times from Roman's pizza and on the third count I approached the manager and he nonchalantly said "We have been using a different mushroom supplier and its probably that but there is nothing we can do about it".

Welcome to the forum, I am also quite new here too but can recommend something like an Onkyo/Marantz/Integra AVR paired with Monitor Audio's or Bentley's as mentioned. Check in the traders section as well for gear. This is a great forum and I have already learned so much from these...

You either love them or hate them, and I happen to really enjoy their music. Yes they do sound allot like Led Zep but I think they should embrace this and continue to make great music.
