I use a Graham slee Elevator exp has cartridge loading from 23ohm to 47000 ohm dead silent, nice and dynamic.

I had the 685 s2 with 610sub and that was awesome. Depending on ur budget I would go 608 or 610 sub

I have the rega rp3 and previously had a 2m red cart which I wasnt unpleased with but changed it to a sumiko Evo blueprint MC fitted by master croak at the time, 10 times better so yes the arm can do with even better carts.
