What would you miss the most about South Africa?

When on holiday - my bed and dare I say the "poepketel". When taking up residence abroad, although subjective definitely friends and family. You can't help but miss braai and biltong!  You can always take your weber along, find a good butcher but somehow you always remember it to have been...

^^^ Elac (particularly the Andrew Jones - designs) features and scores very well in almost all of the current online and youtube reviews. For a moment I was even considering getting rid of a lot of gear, simplify things and go for something like the ELAC - Navis ARB51 - powered bookshelf...

Thanks for the input guys. The Angstrom Pochetto speakers did not pan out. I did however leave with a cheap pair of Bose to test the amp with. bbe22, concerning the Davanti's, I would have like to try them but alas my SO has her mind made up about what 'look' will suffice.  So much so that I...

I'm going to listen to a pair of Angstrom Pochetto II speakers later today. It is a bookshelf speaker from a Canadian manufacturer, around 8 years old, one owner, light use for $375. I do not think they are well known and could not find much in terms of reviews by the usual suspects. A long...

I hope to do some further reading. The wharfedales previously...

I have been separated from my hi-fi for more that 3 months now... and "No" I'm not incarcerated (although cruel and unusual....)!  I'm looking for some speakers to tie me over in the interim. I'm considering the Q Acoustics 3020i which is currently on sale for $300 including shipping and QED XT...

    LG C8 Settings.

Great, thank you.  :pleasant: I've noticed that Screen Shift and Logo Luminance Adjustment are turned off, does that mean that anti burn-in measures negatively affect picture quality or that burn-in is not really an issue assuming 'normal' use? I'm off to "tune" my tv!

    Members' Kit pics

Any chance of sharing the optimal settings for those of us owning the 8 ( or 9) series LG OLED? Would that differ from room conditions and/or content? Not sure if this has been discussed, please point me in the right direction if it has. Perhaps a new thread, just not sure if the 8 and 9...
